Jay Joshua vs. Jordon Breaks (20/11/2025)
In the UK's first ever UWF Rules Match, Joshua and Breaks put on one of the simplest but also most fun matches of the year, This is mt first time watching a Breaks match and i think that this was a great introduction to him, He's an interesting grappler and looks to be a good technical wrestler, I really liked how he used Joshua's weight against him to get him down whenever he could, His transitions from throws to holds really stood out for me in this match (As a Technical wrestling freak), While Breaks used his skills to get some points of of Joshua, Joshua was a MONSTER, He let Breaks get the upper hand in the beginning but whenever he got the chance he would THROW THE SHIT OUT OF BREAKS on the mat, I really liked how this fight was structured about "Brains vs Brawns", i am a huge Jay Joshua fan and i really love whenever he is showcased as a monster in his match but don't let that fool you because he is an underrated grappler and he really showed that with his great submission defense in this match, He didn't Rush things and that was smart until it cost him in the end...
What really dragged my rating for this match is the striking, I was a fan when the strikes were used in the beginning either as a way of showcasing strength especially from Joshua or to be used as transitions from Breaks, But they were pretty weak, So building the ENTIRE finish about them wasn't really a great choice, I wish they had a grappling exchange that ends in Jay Throwing Breaks so Breaks could hit Joshua's Nose with his knee, But the slaps were pretty weak imo and that killed the finishing stretch for me, but that knee? OH GOD it was PERFECT, them dragging it into a 1-1 Tie was brilliant and Breaks's knee was really THE SPOT in the match, The armbar forcing jay to tap was also executed perfectly, Overall this was a good match from both men, Simple but Fun, Joshua is a really underrated Performer and i am very excited to do a deep down on Breaks soon.
